MEADFA Conference

The 2015 MEADFA Conference, held at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre on the shores of the Dead Sea in Jordan, brought together 342 delegates to hear some excellent addresses and presentations from high-level speakers from within and beyond our industry. Retailers and landlords made up nearly 30% of the total audience, with most of the Middle East and Africa’s leading operators in attendance.

Despite a challenging context for the regional and global industry, the atmosphere at this year’s conference was upbeat, with the social events and networking sessions as lively as ever. With a truly unique location combined with the legendary Jordanian hospitality, it was another MEADFA Conference to remember.

Tax Free World Association (TFWA) exhibition

Over 6,700 of the most influential people in the duty free & travel retail community converged on Cannes for the annual TFWA World Exhibition & Conference

482 exhibiting companies were showcasing their products on the 21,500m2 trade floor

Thousands of innovative and prestigious products were on display in the fragrances & cosmetics, wines & spirits, fashion & accessories, jewellery & watches, confectionery & fine food, gifts & electronics and tobacco categories.

Focus workshops were offered on topics of particular interest: the inflight retail channel, the development of the duty free & travel retail market, and the consumer research which had been conducted by TFWA with independent analysts.

Hurghada

A city in the Red Sea Governorate of Egypt. It is a main tourist center and third largest city in Egypt, located on the Red Sea coast. Since the 1980s has been continually enlarged by Egyptian and foreign investors to become the leading coastal resort on the Red Sea. Holiday villages and hotels provide aquatic sport facilities for sailboarders, yachtsmen, scuba divers and snorkelers. Hurghada is known for its water sports activities, nightlife and warm weather.
